Make Your Own Produce Wash

I used to buy bottle after bottle of Produce Wash from the store, but it can be pretty pricey!  So I did some research and found a recipe that I think works just as well, if not better than the store bought stuff!

Ingredients:
1 cup water
1 cup vinegar
1 tablespoon baking soda
20 drops of grapefruit seed extract

Directions:
Mix all ingredients in a deep pitcher.
After reaction has stopped, pour the mixture into a spray bottle (I use the one from my store bought produce wash)
Spray on produce and allow to sit for 5 to 10 minutes before rinsing.

Now you can keep your veggies clean, and save money!  You can also mix a batch of this up in your sink to wash things like lettuce and grapes.  :0)  Enjoy!
