ABC Lesson Plans

When Jay turned two, I quickly figured out that he (and I) needed some sort of activities to focus all of his energy.  I started with a few books from a local teacher supply store, one that was the very first place I ever worked, but those sure added up to some big bucks in a hurry!  So I started looking for curriculum to buy so that we could use it at home.  The more I looked through them, the more I realized that I could create something just as good, if not better, at home for FREE.  Ha ha and if you read my blog for any length of time, you will soon realize that I am a big fan of free things!

At first, I didn't even put the lessons on my blog, or anywhere for that matter.  I just made them for Jay, and we used them each week.  But a few of my cousins asked me about Jay's lessons, and it was actually their idea to blog about them.  (Thanks Ladies!)  I have had so much fun sitting down and making these lessons each week!  I use my own ideas, and ideas from all over the Internet.  And each week, Jay and I have a blast making our crafts and playing games!

So, how does this work!?  Throughout each post, you will see underlined words or phrases that are links to other websites.  The links I use are always free, and if one of them quits working, please let me know!  Anywho, just click on the links to see the different coloring pages, videos, and activities.  You can do all of them each day, or just select a few of them to do each week.  If I came up with an idea myself, and don't have a link for it, I will do my best to explain it.  But Jay is often my "helper" when I am writing these posts...so if my explanation is as clear as mud, please don't hesitate to send me an e-mail to ask about them!  You can work through the lessons at your own pace.  They are written on a weekly basis, but you can spend more or less time on each lesson.  Every kiddo is different, and the most important thing is to work at the pace that works best for your kiddo!

Here is a complete list of all the lesson plans for my Toddler ABC Curriculum. The underlined items are the ones that I have already posted on the blog. So just click on them to see the lesson plan. I will continue to post the other lesson plans each week all the way through 'Z' is For Zebra.
