Journal Jar Tuesdays

Are you ready to try a new take on journaling?  If you are, I hope you will join me for Journal Jar Tuesdays!

A few months ago my cousin, who is fabulous at journaling, told me about a new way to keep a journal.  It is called the Journal Jar.  I have, in all seriousness, NEVER been good at journaling.  I never know what to write.  And I am quite positive that the things I journal about, when left to my own devices, are not anything that my kids or grand kids would ever want to read.  But with a journal jar, journaling is different!  A journal jar is a nifty little jar filled with prompts and questions for you to write about.  So your answers never seem silly, and you end up creating a journal filled with wonderful stories to pass down to future generations!  What a great idea huh!?

I am sure that you can buy journal jars somewhere, but my cousin knows me well enough to understand that my thrifty self would never even consider buying one, and I could make one...but she knows me well enough to know that would never happen either.  (She is one smart cookie!)  So for Christmas this year, my sweet cousin made me my very own journal jar!!  Hooray!!

I am so excited to start using my journal jar, and I wanted to share the idea with all of you too!  So every Tuesday, I will put up a post with one or two of the prompts or questions from the Journal Jar along with my answers.  The questions will be randomly drawn each week by Jay, so you will never know quite what to expect!  You can read my answers, or just use the questions to create your own journal.  By the end of this year, we should have a wonderful legacy of stories and anecdotes to share with our families!

I hope you will join me in this fun new adventure, and the wonderful thing about journaling, is that you can join me any time!  So if you catch this a few months in, don't be afraid to start your very own journal and join in on the fun!!
